Deep adult abdomen and cardiac work
The micro-convex stops at 160 mm and there is no phased head.
Deep abdomenFull-size adult abdominal reach is 305 mm work — the D3Pro family carries it.
CardiacA cardiac sector is phased work — the CD2 pairs one with a linear head.
The callTake the D2LM for pediatric-leaning, access-heavy days; take a three-format body for deep adult lists.
NASA
Trusted by NASA.Selected for testing in preparation for the Artemis lunar program.
Every other way medicine looks inside the body needs a room — a tube, a gantry, a superconducting magnet. Ultrasound needs a probe and a screen. For twenty years, ultrasound has been how spaceflight looks inside the human body — and as humanity returns to the Moon, the instrument light enough to go is a handheld probe.
Suresult handheld probes have been selected by NASA and are undergoing testing in preparation for the Artemis lunar program. Documentation available for review on request.
Marketing renders prove nothing. Below is what the D2LM’s dual-head hardware actually puts on your phone or tablet — B-mode, M-mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler and Pulsed Wave Doppler, each shown as a reference still with a cine loop you start yourself.
Directional color flow information over the grayscale image.
Power Doppler
Flow-signal strength displayed as a sensitive color intensity map.
Pulsed Wave Doppler
A sample gate and spectral trace for reviewing flow over time.

Seven clinical applications, one dual-probe scanner
Pick your day’s work on the list or the body map — carotid to MSK. Every application pairs a dedicated clinical still with an independent cine loop, so you can judge the image before the scanner ever ships.

eFAST in under three minutes — the micro-convex face for the abdomen and subcostal heart, the linear face for the pneumothorax check. One probe, zero cart.
From a heartbeat inside an incubating egg to a rescued seal on the dock: two scan heads and 160 mm of reach cover exotic, wildlife and companion-animal work alike.
Suresult builds single-head and multi-head probes on the same platform. If the D2LM's pairing is not quite the split your work needs, these are the models buyers put next to it.

Linear: 20/40/60/80mm; Micro-Convex: 60-160mm
$2,600
Superficial and mid-depth work in one purchase, without carrying two probes.
Ophthalmic and eye work — the model Suresult specifies for it, on a 13 mm radius head with Color, Pulsed Wave and Power Doppler. 128 elements, 32 channels, 103 g.
Convex reach to 305 mm and a phased format in place of the micro-convex footprint, on the same 20/40/60/80 mm linear ladder the D2LM uses. 128 elements, 32 channels, 3 hours.
Deep abdominal and obstetric reach on one convex head, 192 elements on 64 channels.
Where this probe is the wrong tool. Nothing on the D2LM reaches past 160 mm, so deep adult abdominal and third-trimester obstetric scanning are outside it — if you need that reach, take the C5SH convex probe, which publishes 90-300 mm.

None of any kind. Free iOS, Android and Windows apps; lifetime free software updates.
Linear 10/12 MHz; micro-convex 5/7 MHz
Linear 20/40/60/80 mm; micro-convex 60-160 mm
Two heads in one 237 g body. 128 elements, 32 channels, 2.5 h continuous scanning. Connects over its own Wi-Fi, no router. DICOM export with local storage.
GE Vscan Air SL
From $4,999 official
No required subscription
Linear 3-12 MHz; sector 1.6-3.7 MHz
Linear to 8 cm; sector to 24 cm
Two arrays in one head — linear 3-12 MHz to 8 cm, sector 1.6-3.7 MHz to 24 cm. The sector array publishes more depth than any head on the D2LM.
Butterfly iQ3
$3,899 official store
$299-$420 per year, or $1,500 one-time scoped to five years
1-12 MHz single chip
Presets 4-30 cm
One chip covers the whole published preset range. Wired to a phone or tablet.
Where the D2LM wins: The D2LM splits the job across two purpose-cut heads instead of one aperture: 10/12 MHz on the linear face for superficial detail, 5/7 MHz with an R20 tip on the micro-convex for a small contact face out to 160 mm. It is wireless on its own Wi-Fi — the iQ3 is wired to a phone or tablet. And nothing about it is metered. Butterfly's software runs $299-$420 a year, or $1,500 one-time scoped to five years; the D2LM's apps for iOS, Android and Windows are free, updates are free for the life of the probe, and DICOM export with local storage is included. Delivery is worldwide with customs and duties covered by Suresult, and orders dispatch within 24 hours.
Where a rival wins: Depth is where the rivals win. The Vscan Air SL publishes a sector array reaching 24 cm and the iQ3 publishes presets to 30 cm; the D2LM's micro-convex stops at 160 mm. If you want one device that also covers deep abdominal depth, either of those publishes further. The iQ3 also spans 1-12 MHz on a single chip, so there is one face to learn and one lens to clean rather than two.
D2LM questions, answered
How deep does the D2LM actually see?
Two ranges, one per head. The linear head has four presets: 20, 40, 60 and 80 mm. The micro-convex head covers 60 to 160 mm. 160 mm is the published maximum — there is no deeper setting on this probe.
What is each head for?
The linear head runs 10/12 MHz across a 40 mm footprint: vessels, nerves, tendons, thyroid and other structures inside 80 mm. The micro-convex head runs 5/7 MHz with an R20 tip and an 88° sector, so the small contact face suits tight acoustic windows, and it images from 60 to 160 mm. The probe publishes 128 elements on 32 channels.
Can I use it for echocardiography?
No. The D2LM publishes a linear head and a micro-convex head, with no phased array. For cardiac windows, Suresult's PD1 is a phased probe at 2.5/2.8/3.6 MHz reaching 90-190 mm, and the D3L carries a phased format alongside convex and linear.
Is it enough for adult abdominal and obstetric scanning?
Inside 160 mm, yes. Past it, no. A large adult abdomen or a third-trimester obstetric scan needs a full convex head — the C5SH publishes 90-300 mm on 192 elements and 64 channels.
Which imaging modes are included?
B-Mode, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Power Doppler and Pulsed Wave Doppler. That is the full published mode set for the D2LM, and all of it ships with the probe: there is no subscription of any kind.
What does it connect to, and is there a subscription?
Free apps for iOS, Android and Windows. The probe broadcasts its own Wi-Fi network, so it works without a router or a hospital network. There is no subscription of any kind, software updates are free for the life of the probe, and studies export as DICOM with local storage.
Does it support needle guidance?
Not with a bracket. The D2LM's published specification does not list a needle guide, so in-plane freehand technique on the linear head is what it supports. Suresult does sell a Biopsy Needle Guide for Linear Probes as a separate item at $499, listed by probe family rather than by model — ask whether it fits the D2LM's dual-head housing before ordering one.
How long does it scan, and how heavy is it?
2.5 hours of continuous scanning from a built-in 2800 mAh lithium battery. The probe weighs 237 g with both heads on board.
What about shipping, duties, warranty and returns?
Dispatch is within 24 hours, delivery is worldwide, and customs and duties are covered by Suresult. There is a 30-day worry-free trial and a 2-year warranty, extendable to three years for $195 or five years for $597. FDA, ISO, MDR/CE, TGA and ANVISA records are available for review.
