The L14 is the lower-cost linear option for clinics that need mid-depth superficial imaging, Doppler support and a practical wireless workflow.
For nerve blocks or vascular access, the L14’s 20-80mm depth and puncture assist are spot-on—think peripheral nerves or deeper veins. Doppler confirms flow, and its 2-hour wireless battery keeps it OR-ready—precision and endurance in one.
The L14’s 10/14MHz range and 20-80mm depth are perfect for breast imaging—masses, cysts, or implant surveillance—with 192-element clarity cutting through tissue detail. Doppler adds vascular info, and at 200g, it’s a portable choice for pre-op mapping or post-op checks in clinic or OR.
The L14’s 10/14MHz frequency suits deeper skin structures or subcutaneous lesions—think biopsies or injections. Puncture guides and Doppler add utility, though it’s less high-res than the L24/L20. At 200g, it’s a solid derm tool for mid-depth needs.
A 10–14 MHz linear is standard for thyroid and parathyroid ultrasound. L14 can easily visualize thyroid lesions (typically 3–4 cm deep in the neck) with sufficient resolution.
The L14’s 10/14MHz frequency and 20-80mm depth are perfect for tendons, ligaments, and muscles—think shoulders or knees. Puncture assist guides injections with precision, and its 200g wireless build makes it a clinic or field favorite—versatile MSK imaging with solid reach.
L14’s 14 MHz setting provides excellent resolution of ocular structures while its penetration (~5 cm) is enough to see the retina and posterior eye. In practice, ~10–14 MHz linear probes are commonly used for eye ultrasound in trauma or ophthalmologic exams.
The L14’s 10/14MHz and 80mm depth handle joint and soft tissue imaging—synovitis or deeper erosions—with puncture assist for injections. Wireless and 200g, it’s a rheum clinic workhorse—covers mid-depth needs with ease.
For mid-depth tendon or muscle injuries—think hamstrings or rotator cuff—the L14’s 80mm depth and high frequency shine. Puncture assist guides injections, and its wireless portability fits sports med’s mobile needs—practical for clinic or sidelines.
With 10/14MHz and up to 80mm depth, the L14’s great for vein imaging—standard or slightly deeper lines. Puncture guides and Doppler ensure accurate placement and flow confirmation. At 200g with a 2-hour battery, it’s a reliable access tool for busy settings.

Price changed after my order
Verified ClinicianModel: D3Ultra

I bought it and saw the price change three days later. They could not refund the difference, which was disappointing. The device itself works well, but the timing was frustrating.

Vascular access and nerve blocks on a budget

Strong fit. The 20-80 mm window reaches peripheral veins, AV fistulas and the common block targets, with Color and Pulsed Wave Doppler on the mode list to confirm flow before the puncture. At 200 g it moves between treatment rooms in a coat pocket.

MSK clinician working beyond 40 mm

Strong fit. Shoulders, hips, hamstrings and deeper tendons sit inside the 20-80 mm window that the shallower high-frequency linears cannot reach. State the limit up front: the trade-off is fine detail near the surface, and if the caseload lives inside the first 40 mm, a higher-frequency linear resolves finer detail there — see the family table below.

Generalist buying a first linear for the practice

Strong fit. One probe covers thyroid, breast, soft tissue and vascular exams across five imaging modes, without a cart, a console or a service contract. Plan around the 2-hour battery: charge it between sessions rather than expecting a full day on one charge.

Which Suresult probe do you need?

Five Suresult linears come up most often next to the L14. What separates them is frequency band, depth window and build. Frequency and depth below are the values Suresult publishes for each model.

ProbeTypeFrequencyDepthPriceChoose it for
L14 (this page)Linear10/14 MHz20-80mm$2,250The deepest window in this frequency class on 192 elements and 64 channels, with the full five-mode list including Color and Pulsed Wave Doppler.
L14ProLinear10/14 MHz20/40/60/80mm$3,700The Pro build of this same window, for needle-heavy work and long scanning days.
L20Linear16/20 MHz10/20/30/40mm$3,000Skin and superficial MSK inside the first 40 mm, where a 16/20 MHz band resolves detail a 14 MHz top end will not.
L24Linear18/24 MHz10/15/20/25mm$3,700The top frequency in the family on the shallowest window — maximum near-field detail on tendon, nerve and small-parts work inside 25 mm.
L10HLinear7.5/10 MHz20/40/60/100mm$2,500Lower-frequency reach to 100 mm on a 40 mm scan face, with 5 hours per charge and Visualized Needle Guidance on its puncture list.
L7.5Linear7.5/10 MHz40-100mm$1,300The lowest-cost linear when grayscale is enough — it publishes B-Mode and Power Doppler only, with no colour or pulsed wave Doppler, on 80 elements and 16 channels.

Where this probe is the wrong tool. The L14 images from 20 to 80 mm, so anything deeper is a convex job — for abdominal, renal or bladder work take the C5SH (3.2/5.0 MHz, 90-300 mm). Its linear footprint is not a cardiac window: for echo take the PD1 phased probe (2.5/2.8/3.6 MHz, 90-190 mm). It is not an endocavity probe either — transvaginal exams need the T8, or the D2T if you want transabdominal and transvaginal in one device. And for an aesthetics workflow built around FacialAI, start with the L14Pro instead.

L14 questions, answered

What does the L14 connect to, and how?

It pairs with Suresult’s free apps for iOS, Android and Windows over its own dual-band Wi-Fi network — the probe broadcasts the network itself, so no router, no clinic network request and no cable to the phone.

Is there a subscription or a software fee?

No. The L14 and its imaging software are a one-time purchase with lifetime free software updates — no membership tiers, no per-scan fees, every imaging mode and measurement unlocked from day one.

How are scans stored and exported?

Studies save to local storage on the device, with DICOM export. Nothing routes through a mandatory cloud account, so studies stay on hardware you control.

How long does the L14 run, and how does it charge?

The built-in 4200 mAh battery runs 2 hours of continuous scanning per charge, and it recharges over USB or on a wireless charging pad.

What warranty and trial come with it?

Suresult covers the L14 with a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to two or three years, and every order carries a 30-day worry-free trial — scan your own caseload and send it back if it is not the right probe for the work.

Does Suresult ship internationally — and who pays customs?

Yes. Orders dispatch within 24 hours and deliver worldwide with shipping, customs clearance and duties covered by Suresult — the price at checkout is the final price, no hidden fees.

Can the L14 guide needle procedures?

Yes, with in-plane and out-of-plane puncture guides plus flip and grid overlays. It does not carry Needle Enhance — that software needle highlighting is the L14Pro’s addition.

Does the L14 work with FacialAI?

FacialAI is supported on every Suresult model, the L14 included. On the L14 the software is sold separately; the L14Pro includes the first year with the probe.
