Applications in Your Specialty
Anesthesiology
  • Anesthesiology
  • Musculoskeletal (MSK) Medicine
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Pain Management
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Rheumatology
  • Sports Medicine
  • Vascular Access
For nerve blocks or vascular access, the L10B’s 40-100mm depth and puncture assist are reliable—think peripheral nerves or deeper veins. No Doppler, but its 3.5-hour wireless battery keeps it OR-ready—straightforward precision for routine cases.
With a 40-100mm depth and 7.5/10MHz frequency, the L10B covers mid-depth MSK—tendons, ligaments, or muscles like quads or calves. Puncture assist guides injections, and its wireless 250g design fits clinic or field use—practical imaging with decent reach.
Orthopedic uses (guiding joint injections, scanning tendons) rely on B-mode visualization of structures, so L10B can serve in this role. Although it’s slightly lower resolution than L10SH, it’s still sufficient for identifying tendon tears or guiding an injection into a joint space.
Even without Doppler, pain specialists primarily need to see anatomy and needle location, which B-mode provides. L10B can guide nerve blocks or trigger point injections effectively.
For purely morphological imaging of superficial tissues (detecting fluid, gauging tissue thickness, etc.), color Doppler is not essential. A plastic surgeon can use L10B for tasks like checking a hematoma under a flap or guiding a fine needle aspiration of a cyst.
The L10B’s 40-100mm depth and 7.5/10MHz frequency handle joint and soft tissue imaging—deeper synovitis or erosions—with puncture assist for injections. At 250g, it’s a rheum clinic staple—reliable mid-depth coverage.
For mid-depth tendon or muscle injuries—think hamstrings or rotator cuff—the L10B’s frequency and depth deliver. Puncture assist guides injections, and its wireless portability fits sports med’s on-the-go needs—practical for injury management.
The L10B’s 7.5/10MHz frequency and 40-100mm depth make it a solid pick for vein imaging—standard or deeper lines. Puncture guides ensure accurate catheter placement, though it lacks Doppler for flow checks. At 250g with a 3.5-hour battery, it’s a wireless, budget-friendly access tool.

Trusted by NASA.Selected for testing in preparation for the Artemis lunar program.

Every other way medicine looks inside the body needs a room — a tube, a gantry, a superconducting magnet. Ultrasound needs a probe and a screen. For twenty years, ultrasound has been how spaceflight looks inside the human body — and as humanity returns to the Moon, the instrument light enough to go is a handheld probe.

Suresult handheld probes have been selected by NASA and are undergoing testing in preparation for the Artemis lunar program. Documentation available for review on request.

Which Suresult probe do you need?

Buyers usually weigh the L7.5 against the other Suresult probes that image close to the skin, plus the one convex model in the same two-mode class. Frequency and depth below are the published figures for each model.

ProbeTypeFrequencyDepthPriceChoose it for
Suresult L7.5L7.5This pageLinearLinear 7.5/10MHz40-100mm$1,300The lowest-cost route into a dedicated 7.5/10 MHz linear footprint. B-Mode and Power Doppler only — no Color Doppler, no Pulsed Wave Doppler, no M-Mode.

Suresult L10WL10WLinearLinear 7.5/10MHz20-60mm$2,400An L80-size footprint with 256 elements on 32 channels and the full five-mode list, across a published 20-60 mm range. Depth stops at 60 mm.
Suresult L14L14Linear10/14 MHz20-80mm$2,300A higher frequency band for small parts and nerve work, with Color Doppler and Pulsed Wave Doppler. Depth stops at 80 mm.
Suresult C5BC5BConvexConvex 3.2/5.0MHzConvex: 90/160/220/305mm$1,700The other B-Mode and Power Doppler probe in the line, pointed at abdominal depth instead of superficial structures.

Where this probe is the wrong tool. The L7.5 publishes B-Mode and Power Doppler only and stops at 100 mm, so it cannot show flow direction or velocity and cannot reach abdominal depth — if you need Color and Pulsed Wave Doppler on the same 7.5/10 MHz linear band, take the L10H (28581) instead.

How the L7.5 compares with other handheld probes

Prices and terms below are drawn from each manufacturer’s own published pages (accessed July 26–28, 2026). Every figure is quoted from each maker’s published specs and current price pages.

Where the L7.5 wins: On price, the L7.5 sits well below both, and nothing is billed afterwards — the apps for iOS, Android and Windows are free, updates are free for the life of the probe, and DICOM export with local storage is included rather than gated. It is wireless: it makes its own Wi-Fi network and needs no router, where the Butterfly iQ3 is wired to the phone or tablet. If your work is genuinely confined to the 40-100 mm band, the L7.5 gives you a purpose-built 40 mm linear footprint at 7.5/10 MHz, 3 hours per charge, and delivery with duties covered, dispatch within 24 hours, a 30-day worry-free trial and a 2-year warranty.

Where a rival wins: The L7.5 publishes B-Mode and Power Doppler only, so it shows that flow is present but never its direction, waveform or velocity. Anything needing flow direction or a spectral trace belongs on a different probe — inside the Suresult range that is the L10H (28581), which covers the same 7.5/10 MHz linear band with the full mode set. Range is the second limit, and it is where the rivals are plainly ahead: the iQ3 publishes 1-12 MHz with presets from 4 to 30 cm and the Vscan Air SL a 3-12 MHz linear array to 8 cm alongside a 1.6-3.7 MHz sector array to 24 cm, where the L7.5 publishes 7.5/10 MHz and stops at 100 mm. If one device has to cover abdomen, heart and lung as well as superficial structures, both of those publish the range to do it and the L7.5 does not. Inside the Suresult range, that buyer wants a multi-head model rather than this probe stretched past what it publishes.

L7.5 questions, answered

How deep does the L7.5 image?

40 to 100 mm. The shallowest depth setting is 40 mm and the deepest is 100 mm. It does not image below 100 mm, so abdominal, cardiac and obstetric depth are outside its range.

What is it built to image?

Structures that sit within 40-100 mm of the skin, viewed at 7.5 or 10 MHz across a 40 mm linear footprint — vessels, superficial soft tissue, tendon and muscle, superficial collections. It is a single linear head, not a multi-probe device.

What can the L7.5 not do?

It publishes two imaging modes: B-Mode and Power Doppler. There is no Color Doppler, no Pulsed Wave Doppler and no M-Mode. Combined with the 100 mm depth ceiling, that rules out cardiac work, abdominal work and any study that needs a spectral trace.

What is the difference between the Power Doppler it has and the Color Doppler it does not?

Power Doppler shows that flow is present and roughly how much signal there is. It does not show which way the blood is moving or how fast. Color Doppler encodes direction and Pulsed Wave Doppler gives velocity and a waveform — for either of those on the same 7.5/10 MHz band, the L10H (28581) is the model to take.

What does it connect to?

Free apps for iOS, Android and Windows. The probe creates its own Wi-Fi network, so your phone, tablet or laptop joins it directly — no router, no hospital network and no cable between probe and screen.

Is there a subscription or a software fee?

No subscription of any kind. Software updates are free for the life of the probe. DICOM export is included, with studies stored locally on your own device.

Can I use it for needle guidance?

Freehand in-plane needle work is a B-Mode task, and the 7.5/10 MHz band over a 40 mm footprint within 40-100 mm is the usual setting for it. Suresult also lists a Biopsy Needle Guide for Linear Probes as a separate item at $499, listed by probe family rather than by model — confirm with Suresult that it fits the L7.5 housing before ordering one.

How long does it run, and how heavy is it?

A built-in 4200 mAh lithium battery gives 3 hours of continuous scanning. The probe weighs 250 g.

What happens after ordering — shipping, duties, trial and warranty?

Dispatch is within 24 hours, delivery is worldwide, and Suresult covers customs and duties. Every probe comes with a 30-day worry-free trial and a 2-year warranty, extendable to three years for $195 or five years for $597. FDA, ISO, MDR/CE, TGA and ANVISA records are available for review on request.

The 30-day decision

Put the L7.5 to work in your clinic for 30 days

It dispatches within 24 hours and ships worldwide with customs and duties covered by Suresult. Scan with it for 30 days under the worry-free trial — if the 40-100 mm range or the two imaging modes do not match your work, send it back. Warranty is two years as standard, extendable to three years for $195 or five years for $597.
