Before making my purchase, I asked the supplier about the EU MDR documentation and Declaration of Conformity, and they responded very quickly. Shipping was also fast: the device arrived at my clinic within five days, and I did not need to handle customs clearance or import duties myself.

Patient with right sided flank pain and CVA tenderness with hx of kidney stones. U/S was used in right flank showing moderate hydronephrosis allowing prompt referral to urology for definitive management of suspected obstructive kidney stone which was later confirmed. Very helpful to have the portable ultrasound to diagnose cause of pain, recognize hydro, and allow for prompt appropriate referral.

Where this probe is the wrong tool. The PD2 images no shallower than 90 mm and carries no linear or endocavity head, so superficial and internal-cavity work is outside what it can show — for vascular access, thyroid and soft tissue take the L10H (7.5/10 MHz, presets 20/40/60/100 mm), for tendon, nerve and small-parts detail the L20 (16/20 MHz, 10/20/30/40 mm) or L24 (18/24 MHz, 10/15/20/25 mm), and for transvaginal work the T8 (6/8 MHz, 30–120 mm).

Where the PD2 wins:
The published range is 90 to 240 mm across an 80° sector. Anything shallower than 90 mm is outside the window: superficial work belongs on a linear probe, not on a phased array built for the deep body.
Adult cardiac windows, the deep abdomen and the difficult body: apical and parasternal views, the hepatorenal and splenorenal recesses, the IVC and the subxiphoid window — all inside one 80° sector at 2.2/2.8/3.6 MHz.
It is a phased array and nothing else, so superficial work — thyroid, tendon, nerve, vascular access — is outside it: the field starts at 90 mm. Those exams belong on a linear probe such as the L10 or the L14.
Six: B-Mode, M-Mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler, Pulsed Wave Doppler and Continuous Wave Doppler. All six are included at no charge, with 27 on-screen measurements including EF, stroke volume, LVIDd/LVIDs and TAMAX.
CW records velocity without an upper limit, so a high-velocity jet — an aortic gradient, a regurgitant flow — is measured rather than aliased. PW resolves depth but tops out. The PD2 is the only Suresult probe whose specification lists CW.
