My pick for an aesthetic consultation room is the Suresult L24 with FaceAtlas AI ($3,441): it measures the skin, fat and SMAS beneath the surface in millimeters, finds the filler already in the tissue and guides the next injection. For the surface layer, the Canfield VISIA 3D grades spots, pores and wrinkles against norms for age and skin type. I compare seven makers and thirteen more models from the same makers, with prices checked October 16, 2026.
Evaluation scope: With deep ultrasound knowledge, I scored every maker’s published surface measures, below-surface measures, planning tools, client reports and ownership terms of Suresult L24 + FaceAtlas AI, Suresult L24Pro, Suresult L20Pro, Suresult L20, Suresult L14Pro, Suresult L14, Canfield VISIA 3D, Canfield VISIA (7th generation), Emage ImagePro Halo, Emage ImagePro Opera 3D, Emage ImagePro SUNLITE, Emage ImagePro HYBRID, Miravex Antera 3D, LifeViz Mini Pro 2, LifeViz Infinity Pro, MEICET Pro-A, MEICET ISEMECO 3D D9, MEICET MC88, Sylton Observ 520x and Sylton Observ 320 using manufacturer and dealer records checked October 16, 2026.
Quick answer: which skin analysis machine should a clinic buy?
Suresult L24 + FaceAtlas AI ($3,441 with 3 months of FaceAtlas AI) is the best skin analysis machine for an aesthetic clinic in my seven-maker comparison at 56/100. It measures the layer a camera cannot reach: skin thickness, fat thickness and depth to SMAS in millimeters at 21 standard points, dermal density and SMAS firmness scores, and the material, depth and size of filler already in the tissue. The same 145 g wireless probe then guides the injection with Color Power Doppler and a live view of the needle.[1][2]
Canfield VISIA 3D is the best surface analysis at 53/100. It measures spots, wrinkles, texture, pores, UV spots, brown spots, red areas and porphyrins, grades each client against people of the same age and skin type, and adds calibrated 3D volume change after injectables and energy-based treatments. Canfield sells it by quotation, with the first year of Canfield Care included.[3][4][5]
My recommendation for a clinic that sells injectables and HIFU is to own both layers. The probe measures where old filler sits and how deep the SMAS lies at each site before you inject or set a HIFU focus depth; the camera documents the surface for skin-care, peel and laser plans. Together, the L24 + FaceAtlas AI and the VISIA 3D measure all 12 groups in my surface and below-surface columns.
Choose by what you sell:
- Fillers and HIFU: the L24 + FaceAtlas AI, the one system here that measures below the surface in millimeters and guides the needle.
- Skin-care programs, peels and lasers: a camera skin analyzer. The VISIA 3D measures and grades every surface group; the Emage ImagePro Halo measures all six on a published lease price.
- Both: pair them. A clinic that already owns a VISIA, Halo, Antera, LifeViz, Pro-A or Observ adds the L24 as its second layer.

The 7 best skin analysis machines, ranked
The ranking rewards what a system measures, on the skin and below it, then what it plans, what the client takes home and what it costs to own.

01 Suresult L24 + FaceAtlas AI — Best Overall: Skin, Fat and SMAS Measured Below the Surface
Skin, fat and depth to SMAS in mm · 21 standard points · filler material, depth and size · Doppler-guided injection · $3,441
Score: 56/100
$3,441 · 3 months of FaceAtlas AI18/24 MHz · 10–25 mm21 points + Expert mode145 g · wirelessPDF reports in 11 languages
Buying terms: delivered duties paid, No Hidden Fees; processed within 24 hours on business days and delivered to Europe, North America and Oceania in 1–7 days; 30-day worry-free trial; 2-year warranty, extendable to 3 or 5 years at checkout.[2]
Verdict: Buy the L24 with FaceAtlas AI if you inject filler or deliver HIFU and want every plan built on measured depth at the same 21 sites, visit after visit. It is my top pick for an aesthetic consultation room, and the one system in this comparison that also guides the needle.
- Below the surface: skin thickness, subcutaneous fat thickness and depth to SMAS in millimeters; dermal density, SMAS firmness and skin-age scores; FaceAtlas AI paints the epidermis and dermis, the fat and the SMAS over the live image and measures only frames that pass its image-quality check[1]
- Filler in the tissue: Filler Scan finds prior filler and reads its depth, size and material, from HA and collagen to PLLA, PCL, CaHA, PMMA and PVA[1]
- Treatment planning: a HIFU focus depth for every site (Linear 4.5 or 3.0 mm; Dot 6.0, 4.5, 3.0 or 2.0 mm) with a left–right mismatch check; one click puts this visit beside the last[1]
- Injection guidance: Color Power Doppler shows blood flow in real time, Dual View follows the needle angle and the new filler live, and the L24 adds Needle Enhance with in-plane and out-of-plane guides[1][2]
- Consultation and records: 21 standardized points from forehead to jawline, with Expert mode for the retaining-ligament regions, nine sites per side; a Facial Ultrasound Assessment PDF in 11 languages, shared by email, Drive or print; client data stays on the device, about 2,000 client scan records on a 256 GB tablet[1]
- Probe: 18/24 MHz, 192 elements, 64 channels, 10–25 mm; B, M, Color, Power and PW Doppler; 145 g, 156 × 60 × 18 mm, 2 hours of scanning, wireless charging; JPEG, MP4, PNG and DICOM export[2]
- Equipment standard: the 2025 Delphi consensus on ultrasound in aesthetic injectables recommends a linear probe of at least 15 MHz, lists B-mode, Color Doppler, spectral Doppler and image and video archiving as mandatory and recommends Power Doppler; the L24 runs at 18/24 MHz and carries all five, with PW as its spectral Doppler[6][2]
- Price and plan: $3,441 with 3 months of FaceAtlas AI and an imaging app with no subscription; FaceAtlas AI then runs at $50 a month or $500 a year, one key per device with no auto-renewal, or $999 once for Lifetime, sold until 11:59 PM PT, December 31, 2026[2][7][8][9]
- Regulatory: SURESULT L-series: FDA 510(k) cleared. CE marked under EU MDR. ISO 13485. Health Canada.
Why it ranks here. The L24 + FaceAtlas AI earns 25 of 30 for below-surface measures, the top score in that column: skin thickness, fat thickness and depth to SMAS in millimeters, dermal density and SMAS firmness scores, and filler identified by material, depth and size. Every other system here scores 6 or less below the surface. FaceAtlas AI is built on 30,000+ clinical cases, with over 96% algorithm accuracy.[1]
Planning earns 9 of 15: a measured comparison of the same sites from visit to visit, plus the only real-time injection guidance and the only HIFU focus-depth setting in this comparison. Consultation earns the full 15 for fixed scan points, a PDF report, 11 languages, sharing by email or Drive, and a handheld probe at 145 g.[1][2]
Cost earns 7 of 10 on a dated checkout price that stays in the lowest price band in year one, with FaceAtlas AI on monthly or yearly plans after the included months.[2][7]
Pair it with a camera. FaceAtlas AI reads the skin, fat and SMAS layers, and the camera in the room counts the spots, pores and wrinkles on the surface. With 18/24 MHz imaging, a 25 mm window, Doppler for facial vessel mapping and local records for filler-plane review and follow-up, the L24 is my pick for face-first clinics; the family below runs the same FaceAtlas AI for longer days and deeper planes.[2]
Best for: injectors and HIFU providers who plan by measured depth and keep the same probe on the face through the injection. Choose a family model if: you scan up to 4 hours on a charge (the L24Pro), you want presets to 40 mm (the L20Pro or L20), or you want one probe for the face and the body with presets to 80 mm (the L14Pro or L14).

02 Canfield VISIA 3D — Best Surface Analysis, Now in Calibrated 3D
Spots · wrinkles · texture · pores · red areas · porphyrins · calibrated 3D volume · price on request
Score: 53/100
Price on request · first Canfield Care year includedGraded against norms for age and skin typeCalibrated 3D volume changeBooth, 9 kg with stand2D, 3D and video capture
Verdict: Buy the VISIA 3D if your consultations sell skin-care programs, peels and lasers and you want every surface concern measured, graded and shown in 3D from one capture. It is my pick for the camera layer of an aesthetic consultation room.
- Surface measures: Spots, Wrinkles, Texture, Pores, UV spots, Brown Spots, Red Areas and Porphyrins; Comparison To Norms grades each client against others of the same age and skin type; TruSkin Age assesses overall skin condition and age[3][4]
- Below the surface: fully automated, calibrated 3D measurements; measurable volume change after injectables, fillers, energy-based treatments and surgery; AI lip assessment of volume and roughness[4][3]
- Planning and reports: slider-based 3D simulation, including rhinoplasty; side-by-side comparison with graphs and numerical data; an Industry Brand Library with 200+ skin-care products and treatments; personalized printed reports[3]
- Price and terms: price on request from Canfield; one year of Canfield Care included with every VISIA, annual agreements after that; ViewMyConsult client portal included with Canfield Care[14][5][15][16]
- Format: VISIA Facial Imaging Booth, 9 kg (20 lb) with stand; 2D, 3D and video capture; on Canfield’s Automated Lift Counter, designed for the VISIA 3D, the VISIA 3D adjusts to the client’s height at the push of a button[3]
Why it ranks here. The VISIA 3D earns the full 30 for surface measures: Canfield’s analysis names all six surface groups, and Comparison To Norms turns each one into a grade against people of the same age and skin type. Canfield calls it the only system with instant capture delivering 3D with standard, cross-polarized and UV lighting modes, and its calibrated 3D measurements show volume change after injectables and energy-based treatments, which earns 5 below the surface.[3][4]
Planning earns 9 of 15 for 3D simulation, a quantified before-and-after and the Industry Brand Library, and consultation earns 9 for height positioning on the Automated Lift Counter, printed reports and the ViewMyConsult portal with Canfield Care.[3][16]
Limitations. The VISIA 3D measures volume rather than layers: skin, fat and SMAS thickness and filler in the tissue sit outside its analysis, which holds below-surface measures to 5. It is a booth on a stand, which scores 0 for portability. Cost scores 0: Canfield prices by quotation, and the ViewMyConsult portal credited for client sharing runs on Canfield Care, an annual agreement after the included year.
Best for: clinics whose revenue runs through skin-care programs, peels and lasers, and that want brand-library recommendations at the end of every analysis. Not a good fit if: you need layer depth before an injection, or a published price before the sales call.
Also from Canfield: the VISIA (7th generation), sold as VISIA Standard and Deluxe, is the 2D booth with a 3D viewer, multi-point positioning with a live image overlay, VISIA Advanced Aging Simulation and VISIA Injectables Simulation, and multi-language support on the VISIA iPad app, purchased separately; 14 kg; price on request from Canfield. Score: 53/100.[5][3]

Why it ranks here. The Halo ties the VISIA 3D for the full 30 on surface measures, with 11 AI-analyzed items and every result set against the average for the client’s age group. It is the only ranked system with a published monthly price, and Emage charges no annual licensing fee, which earns 5 of 10 for cost. Before-and-after analysis and the printed product cart earn 6 for planning.[17]
Limitations. The 3D view carries no stated volume or millimeter output, which holds below-surface measures to 2. Emage names no positioning system for repeat captures, and the published price is a lease.
Best for: med spas that sell skin care off the analysis and want a fixed monthly cost. Not a good fit if: you need measured volume or layer depth.

The Antera earns 25 for surface measures and 5 for volume, and its consultation score of 12 is the highest among the cameras here: Automatic Matching standardizes every follow-up, reports go out in one click, and the camera weighs about 500 g. Planning earns 6 for scores, graphs and product recommendations in the report.[21]
Limitations. Miravex names no sebum or porphyrin measure, which holds surface measures to 25, and sells by quotation, which holds cost to 0.
Best for: clinics treating texture, scars and pigment that want a portable 3D camera. Not a good fit if: you need layer depth or a published price.

- Seller: Quartier Latin, the aesthetic-imaging company QuantifiCare launched on January 1, 2026, sells, supports and develops the LifeViz line, used by practitioners in more than 70 countries[24]
Why it ranks here. The Mini Pro 2 earns 22 for surface measures: Quartier Latin names fine lines, texture, shine, tone and color variations as outputs of its 3D skin analysis, and the 2026 brochure shows redness as a map. Volume in mL and lifting in millimeters earn 5 below the surface. Simulation, a quantified before-and-after and a skincare library earn 9 of 15 for planning, the most a camera system earns here, and the dual-beam pointer, fast reports, phone sharing and a portable body earn 10 for consultation.[22][23]
Limitations. Quartier Latin names no pore measure for the Mini Pro 2 and shows redness as a map, which holds surface measures to 22, and the Mini Pro 2 measures volume and lift rather than layer thickness or filler in the tissue. Quartier Latin sells by quotation, which holds cost to 0.
Best for: injectors who document volume and lift in 3D and consult in more than one room. Not a good fit if: you need layer depth before an injection, or a published price.
Also from Quartier Latin: the LifeViz Infinity Pro is a 3D system for the face, body and breasts, with full-face and 360° body coverage from the armpits to the waist and buttocks, and it evaluates skin quality in 3D; price on request from Quartier Latin.[25]

- Surface measures: an AI aging index across 8 dimensions: forehead lines, glabellar lines, crow’s feet, periorbital lines, laugh lines, marionette lines, corner-of-mouth lines and brown spots; report data on sensitivity, skin tone, moisture and oil[26]
- Image modes: RGB, PPL, CPL, Redness, RedArea Heatmap, Brown, RedArea, UV, Monochrome and Texture[26]

- Format and price: 10 kg, 380 × 380 × 560 mm, 12 MP capture; price on request from MEICET; remote-usage license accounts[26]
Why it ranks here. The Pro-A earns 22 for surface measures from its aging index and report data, and the Skin Test Pen’s elasticity values earn 5 for firmness. Aging prediction and before-and-after cases earn 6 for planning, and the data and mobile reports earn 6 for consultation.[26]
Limitations. MEICET shows texture as an image mode and names no pore measure, which holds surface measures to 22. The 10 kg unit and quotation pricing score 0 for portability and cost.
Best for: skin-care consultations built on aging scores and a forecast the client takes home. Not a good fit if: you sell injectables by depth, or you want a published price.
Also from MEICET: the ISEMECO 3D D9 models the full face in 3D, presents volume changes with precision as high as 0.1 ml and grades brown spots and sensitive areas as mild, moderate or severe; 19.5 kg; price on request (score 29/100). 07 Sylton Observ 520x — Best Visual Consultation Camera with Branded Reports
10 light modes · Face Positioning System · 0°, 40° and 90° captures · branded reports · $12,500 at a US dealer
Score: 34/100
$12,500 at Rejuvion Health (US dealer)10 light modesFace Positioning System11.2 kg · travel bagFree 5GB Sylton Connect
Verdict: Buy the Observ 520x if your consultations sell on what the client sees: 10 light modes, three fixed angles and reports that carry your logo.
- Imaging: 10 light modes that show pigmentation, surface texture and fine lines, sebum flow and plugged pores, redness, oil balance under a simulated Wood’s lamp, form and contour under 360° Grey, variations in skin thickness and areas of collagen loss[29][30][31]
- Capture: the patented Face Positioning System at 0°, 40° and 90°[31][29]
- Planning and reports: before-and-after side by side; customizable treatment and product catalogs; your logo and credentials on every patient report; sharing by email, print, AirDrop or team collaboration platforms[30][31]
- Price and terms: $12,500 at US dealer Rejuvion Health (checked October 16, 2026); free 5GB Sylton Connect storage, with Connect Pro from €4.99 a month for 25GB[32][31]
- Format: 11.2 kg, with a travel bag designed for the Observ[30][31]
Why it ranks here. Sylton states that Observ focuses exclusively on high-quality visual imaging rather than automated measurements or computer-generated recommendations, so each light mode earns the image-only 2 points: 12 at the surface and 6 below it. The Face Positioning System, branded reports, four sharing routes and a travel bag earn 10 for consultation, and cost earns 3 for the free 5GB Sylton Connect plan that comes with every Observ, with paid storage optional.[31]
Limitations. The Observ shows rather than measures, so a before-and-after carries no scores, counts or millimeters.
Best for: practices that close treatments on before-and-after images. Not a good fit if: you want scores, counts or millimeters.

What each skin analysis machine measures, surface to SMAS
A camera measures what light returns from the skin and its 3D shape. An ultrasound probe measures the layers under it, in millimeters. Read across to see which layer each system covers.

Measured = the maker names the item as a quantified output or analysis result (score, count, grade, area, mm or ml). Image only = shown as an image, map, light mode or 3D view without a stated output. A dash = not in the maker’s list for that system.
The two tables split the field cleanly. Six cameras compete for the surface, and three of them measure 3D volume. Skin thickness, fat thickness, depth to SMAS and filler in the tissue are measured by one system in this comparison, the L24 + FaceAtlas AI.[3][17][21][22][26][31][1]
The two layers answer different client questions. The camera shows what changed on the skin; the probe shows where old filler sits and how deep the next treatment needs to go. When the plan is to dissolve that filler, the guide to ultrasound-guided filler dissolving ranks five handhelds by how they find the deposit, map its vessels and guide the enzyme into it. A 2025 international Delphi consensus on ultrasound in aesthetic injectables recommends identifying prior fillers before injecting, finds ultrasound imaging before injection mandatory in certain areas with a high risk of vascular adverse events, and recommends ultrasound-guided injection in many parts of the face for fillers, toxin and injection lipolysis; it accepts handheld devices for both learning and regular diagnostics.[6]

FaceAtlas AI runs its app and reports in 11 languages: English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, and the report language can differ from the interface. Client names, scans and reports stay on the device, about 2,000 client scan records on a 256 GB tablet. Canfield lists multi-language support on the VISIA iPad app for the 7th-generation VISIA, and Sylton stores Observ images in Sylton Connect, free to 5GB.[1][5][31]

VISIA skin analysis machine: price, Canfield Care and what it measures
A VISIA skin analysis machine is Canfield Scientific’s facial imaging booth, and Canfield sells it by quotation. On October 16, 2026, US dealer Dr’s Toy Store listed an earlier-generation Canfield VISIA at $10,995; for the current VISIA 3D and VISIA 7th generation, Canfield quotes the system and includes the first year of Canfield Care.[14][33][5]
What VISIA measures. Spots, Wrinkles, Texture, Pores, UV spots, Brown Spots, Red Areas and Porphyrins. Comparison To Norms grades each feature against others of the same age and skin type, and TruSkin Age assesses the client’s skin condition and skin age.[3][4]
VISIA 3D or the 7th generation. The VISIA 3D adds fully automated, calibrated 3D measurements, volume change after injectables and energy-based treatments, and AI lip assessment, in a booth that weighs 9 kg with its stand. The 7th-generation VISIA, sold as Standard and Deluxe, is the 2D booth with a 3D viewer and VISIA Advanced Aging and Injectables Simulation, at 14 kg; its iPad app adds multi-language support and is purchased separately.[4][3][5]
Canfield Care. One year comes with every VISIA. After that, Canfield sells annual Canfield Care agreements; Canfield Connect is included with a current Canfield Care agreement, and so is the ViewMyConsult client portal.[5][15][16]
What a skin analysis machine costs to own
The figure that matters is the system price plus whatever keeps the analysis, the client portal and the updates running each year.

Competitor terms come from each maker’s pages and, for the Observ 520x price, a US dealer listing, read on October 16, 2026.
Suresult prices the L24 once, at checkout, and the imaging app stays free: “No Subscription Cost. Lifetime Free Software, Unlimited Scans.” FaceAtlas AI is the analysis layer. The L24, L24Pro, L20Pro and L14Pro each come with 3 months, and the clinic then picks a plan. The Lifetime license is a single purchase that stays on the device for life with every update, and Suresult sells it until 11:59 PM PT on December 31, 2026; after that date FaceAtlas AI is sold monthly or yearly.[2][8][9]
Emage publishes a lease price for every ImagePro model in this comparison, from $193 a month for the Opera 3D to $493 for the HYBRID, and the Halo carries no annual licensing fee. For scale across the category, MEICET’s 2026 price guide places mid-tier professional systems with multi-spectral imaging and AI analysis at $1,300–$2,500 and premium clinical-grade platforms at $3,500–$5,500 or more.[18][20][17][34]
From consultation to injection: the two-layer workflow
Here is how a clinic that owns both layers runs one consultation, from the first photo to the follow-up report.
- Capture the surface. The camera records spots, wrinkles, pores, red areas and texture, and its analysis grades them. This is the skin-care, peel and laser conversation.
- Map the layers at 21 points. Pick the site on the FaceAtlas AI face map, place the probe on a sterile gel pad and scan. FaceAtlas AI draws the epidermis and dermis, the fat and the SMAS, and measures each in millimeters from frames that pass its image-quality check.[1]
- Find the filler that is already there. Filler Scan names the material among seven and measures its depth and size. FaceAtlas AI maps where the old product has spread and how much of it has metabolized, and screens for abnormalities before you touch a syringe. Sonography is the first-line imaging modality for detecting and identifying common cosmetic fillers.[1][35]
- Plan by depth. Depth to SMAS becomes a HIFU focus depth for every site: Linear 4.5 or 3.0 mm, Dot 6.0, 4.5, 3.0 or 2.0 mm. When the two sides of the face disagree, FaceAtlas AI asks for a rescan before you treat.[1]
- Inject under guidance. Switch on Color Power Doppler to see blood flow before the needle goes in, then inject in Dual View: the raw scan beside the AI layers, with the needle angle and the new filler in view. My ranking of the best aesthetic ultrasound machines for facial fillers compares probes for this step.[1]
- Report and rebook. Hand over two reports: the camera’s surface report and the FaceAtlas AI PDF with millimeter readings by site. At the follow-up, one click puts the new scan beside the last.

What you need: a Suresult L24 wireless high-frequency linear ultrasound probe or another L-series probe; a 64-bit Android tablet or phone running Android 8.0 or later; a FaceAtlas AI license when the included 3 months end, or from day one on the L20 and L14: the FaceAtlas AI monthly license at $50, the FaceAtlas AI yearly license at $500 or the FaceAtlas AI Lifetime license at $999; and Suresult aesthetic ultrasound gel pads at $140 for a sterile pack of 50 Ø50 × 4 mm pads, with no gel to wipe off.[1][36][2]
The 2025 Delphi consensus calls for a sterile probe cover and sterile gel during ultrasound-guided injection, and Suresult’s aesthetic gel pads come sterile, with no gel to wipe off and a 4 mm stand-off for sharper skin-layer images. For the room itself, the facial ultrasound buyer guide for med spas covers the treatment-room setup.[6][36][2]
How I scored
Every score answers one buyer question: which skin analysis system gives an aesthetic clinic the most measured, decision-ready information for consultations and treatment planning, and what does it cost to own?
Weights: surface measures 30 · below-surface measures 30 · treatment planning 15 · consultation and records 15 · cost to own 10.
I weight the layer under the skin equal to the surface because injectables and energy-based treatments are planned in depth, and the 2025 Delphi consensus recommends identifying prior fillers before injecting.[6]
- Surface measures (30): six groups, 5 points each when measured and 2 when shown as an image only: pigmentation; wrinkles and fine lines; texture; pores; redness and vascular areas; sebum, oil or porphyrins.
- Below-surface measures (30): six groups on the same scale: 3D contour or volume change; skin layer thickness in mm; subcutaneous fat thickness in mm; depth to SMAS in mm; dermal density or firmness; product already in the tissue.
- Treatment planning (15): 3 points each for an outcome or aging simulation shown to the client, a quantified before-and-after, real-time injection guidance (vessels by Doppler plus a needle view), a HIFU focal depth per site, and a product or treatment library tied to the analysis.
- Consultation and records (15): 3 points each for standardized capture, a client report, a multi-language interface or report, client sharing, and portability (a handheld under 1 kg scores 3; a portable unit to 12 kg with a case or stand scores 1; a booth, counter or cart scores 0).
- Cost to own (10): a dated published price from the maker or an authorized dealer 4, a lease-only price 2, quote-only 0; analysis that keeps running without a mandatory recurring fee 3; a published price to $5,000 scores 3 and to $10,000 scores 2.
Measured means the maker’s current page or brochure names the item as a quantified output or an analysis result. Evidence comes from maker pages and brochures read October 16, 2026, and every score uses standing terms: an offer with an end date stays outside the score, so the FaceAtlas AI Lifetime license, sold until December 31, 2026, appears in the Suresult card without points. A credited feature carries its recurring fee: FaceAtlas AI after its 3 included months and Canfield Care after its included year both count as recurring fees, and both systems score 0 on that cost item.
Each maker gets one ranked slot, represented by its highest-scoring model; sibling models sit inside that card with their own prices.
| Rank · system | Surface /30 | Below the surface /30 | Planning /15 | Consultation /15 | Cost /10 | Total /100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 25 | 9 | 15 | 7 | 56 | |
| 30 | 5 | 9 | 9 | 0 | 53 | |
| 30 | 2 | 6 | 6 | 5 | 49 | |
| 25 | 5 | 6 | 12 | 0 | 48 | |
| 22 | 5 | 9 | 10 | 0 | 46 | |
| 22 | 5 | 6 | 6 | 0 | 39 | |
| 12 | 6 | 3 | 10 | 3 | 34 |
Ties break on the number of measured groups across the surface and below-surface columns, then on the lower dated published price, with a published price ahead of a quote; inside a maker’s card, probes that still tie go to the highest top frequency for facial imaging before price. No two makers tie in this ranking. Inside the Canfield card, the VISIA 3D and the 7th-generation VISIA tie at 53, and the VISIA 3D’s seven measured groups to six make it Canfield’s representative. Inside the Suresult card, the six L-series probes run the same FaceAtlas AI and score 56 each with five measured groups; the L24 and L24Pro share the family’s top band, 18/24 MHz, and the L24 costs less, so I chose the L24 to represent Suresult.
Siblings sit inside their maker’s card: Suresult L24Pro, L20Pro, L20, L14Pro and L14 (56 each); Canfield VISIA 7th generation (53); Emage ImagePro Opera 3D (43); MEICET ISEMECO 3D D9 (29) and MC88 (24). The Emage ImagePro SUNLITE and HYBRID and the Observ 320 score at or below their card’s representative in every group and below it in total, and the LifeViz Infinity Pro brochure evaluates skin quality in 3D without the Mini Pro 2’s itemized surface list. I read competitor pages, brochures and prices and the Suresult product and license pages on October 16, 2026.
Skin analysis machine questions
How much does a skin analysis machine cost?
On October 16, 2026, MEICET’s 2026 price guide places mid-tier multi-spectral AI analyzers at $1,300–$2,500 and premium clinical platforms at $3,500–$5,500 or more. The Emage ImagePro Halo leases from $287 a month and the Opera 3D from $193; US dealer Rejuvion Health lists the Sylton Observ 520x at $12,500; US dealer Dr’s Toy Store lists an earlier-generation Canfield VISIA at $10,995; and Canfield, Quartier Latin, Miravex and MEICET quote their current systems. The Suresult L24 with 3 months of FaceAtlas AI costs $3,441, delivered duties paid with No Hidden Fees.
Is a VISIA skin analysis worth it?
Yes, for a clinic that sells skin-care programs, peels and lasers. The VISIA 3D measures spots, wrinkles, texture, pores, UV spots, brown spots, red areas and porphyrins, grades each against people of the same age and skin type, adds calibrated 3D volume change, and turns the result into recommendations from a 200+ item brand library. For filler and HIFU planning, add an ultrasound layer: the Suresult L24 + FaceAtlas AI measures skin, fat and depth to SMAS in millimeters and finds filler already in the tissue.
What is the best skin analysis machine for an aesthetic clinic?
The Suresult L24 + FaceAtlas AI, at 56/100 in my seven-maker comparison: it measures skin, fat and depth to SMAS in millimeters at 21 points, identifies filler already in the tissue and guides the injection. The Canfield VISIA 3D follows at 53/100 as the best surface analysis, with every surface group measured and graded against norms plus calibrated 3D volume change, and a clinic that sells injectables and HIFU gets the most from owning both.
What does a skin analysis machine measure?
A camera skin analyzer measures the surface: pigmentation and spots, wrinkles, texture, pores, redness, and sebum or porphyrins, and 3D models add volume change. An ultrasound skin analyzer measures the layers beneath: FaceAtlas AI on a Suresult L-series probe reads skin thickness, subcutaneous fat thickness and depth to SMAS in millimeters, scores dermal density, SMAS firmness and skin age, and identifies filler already in the tissue.
Can a skin analysis device see below the surface of the skin?
Cameras read the skin’s surface, the pigment just beneath it and the face’s 3D shape. In this comparison, the Suresult L24 + FaceAtlas AI measures the layers below: skin, fat and depth to SMAS in millimeters at 21 standard points, with filler identified by material, depth and size. The Canfield VISIA 3D, LifeViz Mini Pro 2 and Miravex Antera 3D measure volume change from 3D models.
Can a skin analyzer identify filler already in the face?
An ultrasound skin analyzer can. FaceAtlas AI’s Filler Scan finds prior filler on a Suresult L-series probe, measures its depth and size, and names the material: HA, collagen, PLLA, PCL, CaHA, PMMA or PVA. A 2015 review in the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine names sonography the first-line imaging modality for detecting and identifying common cosmetic fillers, and a 2025 Delphi consensus recommends identifying prior fillers before injecting. The camera analyzers here measure surface features and 3D volume.
Which Suresult probe should I pair with FaceAtlas AI?
The L24 for face-first clinics: 18/24 MHz, a 10–25 mm window and 3 months of FaceAtlas AI at $3,441. Take the L24Pro ($4,185) for up to 4 hours per charge, the L20Pro ($3,720) or L20 ($2,790) for presets to 40 mm, and the L14Pro ($3,441) or L14 ($2,139) for one probe across the face and body with presets to 80 mm. All six run FaceAtlas AI.
What does FaceAtlas AI need, and how is it licensed?
A Suresult L14, L14Pro, L20, L20Pro, L24 or L24Pro and a 64-bit Android tablet or phone running Android 8.0 or later. The L24, L24Pro, L20Pro and L14Pro include 3 months. After that, a license key for each device arrives by email: $50 a month or $500 a year with no auto-renewal, or $999 once for Lifetime with every update, sold until 11:59 PM PT, December 31, 2026.
Where does each system keep client images and reports?
FaceAtlas AI keeps client names, scans and reports on the device only, about 2,000 client scan records on a 256 GB tablet. Sylton stores Observ images in Sylton Connect, with 5GB free and Connect Pro from €4.99 a month for 25GB. Canfield’s ViewMyConsult portal, included with Canfield Care, lets patients view consultation photos, simulations and treatment recommendations at home, and the Emage ImagePro Halo sends the complete report to the client’s phone or email by QR code.
Is the Observ 520x a professional skin analysis machine like VISIA?
The Observ 520x is a visual consultation camera: Sylton states that Observ focuses exclusively on high-quality visual imaging rather than automated measurements or computer-generated recommendations. It shows 10 light modes at 0°, 40° and 90°, and US dealer Rejuvion Health lists it at $12,500 (October 16, 2026). The VISIA 3D measures and grades each surface feature against norms and adds calibrated 3D volume, by quotation from Canfield.
