Risposta rapida
An aesthetic ultrasound machine is a high-frequency linear scanner that shows facial vessels, filler deposits and skin layers before an injector places a needle.
- Suresult covers the face with three linear frequency bands: 18/24 MHz, 16/20 MHz and 10/14 MHz.
- Color and pulsed-wave Doppler put a waveform on a facial vessel before any product goes in.
- Depth settings start at 10 mm on the L24Pro and L20Pro, so the dermis and the injection plane stay at the top of the image.
- Every Suresult linear model records cine loops of up to 1,000 frames for the patient file.

Facial and superficial soft tissue on the L142 windows

Superficial soft-tissue planes on the L14
The tissue layers separate cleanly at 14 MHz over 40 mm of depth. Reading which plane a cannula sits in starts with layers this distinct.
captured by a buyer on an L14 at 14.0 MHz, 40 mm depth, gain 91 dB, dynamic range 70
Nasal contour measured at 14 MHz
Calipers put 3.0 mm on the soft tissue over the nasal framework. A recorded figure is what makes a follow-up scan comparable.
captured by a buyer on an L14 at 14.0 MHz, 40 mm depth, caliper length 3.0 mmFacial vessels and superficial structures on the L143 windows

Pulsed-wave trace on a superficial facial vessel
The spectrum reads a peak systolic velocity of 15.73 cm/s and a resistive index of 0.78. An arterial waveform confirms what the color box only suggested.
captured by a buyer on an L14 at 14.0 MHz, sample volume 1 mm, angle 55 degrees, PRF 2.0 kHz
Doppler overlay on the treatment photo
The buyer composited the scan over the face it came from, with flow marked on the nasal dorsum. The record carries both the anatomy and the region it belongs to.
captured by a buyer on an L14 at 14.0 MHz, 40 mm depth, color gain 39, PRF 1.25 kHz
Anechoic superficial structure measured with flow at its edge
Calipers cross an anechoic superficial structure while color marks vessels at its margin. An injector needs the outline and the nearby flow in the same frame.
captured by a buyer on an L14; the library records 14.0 MHz for this frame, which is cropped to the image area and carries no on-screen headerSkin layers and cutaneous vessels on the L20Pro2 windows

Epidermis to hypodermis on the L20Pro
At 20 MHz over 20 mm of depth the dermis and the fat layer below it read as separate bands. This is the view that sets a treatment depth in millimeters.

Technique basics
How the exam comes together, probe to report
Pick the frequency the plane needs. The L24Pro holds 18/24 MHz for lip and nasal planes that sit in the first centimeter. The L20Pro keeps 16/20 MHz when the same scan has to reach 40 mm.
Frame shown: an L20Pro capture at 20 MHz
Set depth to 10 mm or 20 mm and fill the screen with skin.Shallow depth puts the dermis across the top third of the image, where the resolution is highest. Compound imaging on the Suresult app cleans up the fat septae underneath.
D: 20 mm on the header
Map the vessel with color, then confirm it with pulsed-wave Doppler.A steered color box finds flow in a vessel that runs parallel to the skin. Pulsed-wave Doppler puts a velocity and a resistive index on what the color found.
PRF 1.0 to 1.25 kHz
Measure and save before the first injection.Calipers put a millimeter figure on skin thickness or on a deposit, and the app stores it on the frame. Files export as DICOM, JPEG, PNG or MP4 for the patient record.

What the research says
The evidence, three studies checked
- Facial arteries sit about three millimeters under the skin.
Ultrasound in 41 healthy volunteers measured the supratrochlear artery at a mean depth of 3.34 mm and the supraorbital artery at 3.54 mm. The authors rejected the idea that injecting beside a vertical glabellar line is safe because the artery runs deep to the crease.
Cotofana et al., Aesthet Surg J 2020 - High-frequency ultrasound told filler materials apart.
Among 94 patients scanned in the nasolabial groove, high-frequency ultrasound identified hyaluronic acid in 35 cases and polyacrylamide in 34. The authors concluded that high-frequency ultrasound has identification significance for filling materials in that area.
Jiang et al., Aesthetic Plast Surg 2022 - Ultrasound guidance cut the hyaluronidase dose.
A review of 96 articles on filler vascular occlusion reported that ultrasound guidance reduced the required hyaluronidase dose by up to tenfold. The same review put early-stage ischemia as reversible in up to 80% of cases when treatment starts within four to six hours.

What is an aesthetic ultrasound machine?
An aesthetic ultrasound machine is a high-frequency linear scanner that images facial vessels, filler deposits and skin layers. Aesthetic clinics use it to plan an injection and to document the result.
Which Suresult model suits facial filler work?
The Suresult L24Pro is the face-first model at 18/24 MHz, with depth settings of 10, 15, 20 and 25 mm. Its 256-element linear head keeps the dermis and the injection plane at the top of the image.
What frequency does facial ultrasound need?
Ultrasound measured the supratrochlear artery at 3.34 mm below the skin, which is where 18 to 24 MHz resolves best. A 16/20 MHz model such as the Suresult L20Pro adds reach to 40 mm when the scan goes deeper.
How deep are the arteries an injector has to avoid?
Ultrasound in 41 volunteers measured the supratrochlear artery at a mean depth of 3.34 mm and the supraorbital artery at 3.54 mm. Those depths sit inside the range a 24 MHz linear probe images clearly.
Can a handheld scanner see hyaluronic acid filler?
A study of 94 patients scanned in the nasolabial groove identified hyaluronic acid in 35 cases with high-frequency ultrasound. Suresult L24Pro, L20Pro and L14Pro scanners cover 10 to 24 MHz for that kind of superficial imaging.
Do Suresult linear scanners have Doppler for vessel mapping?
Suresult L24Pro, L20Pro and L14Pro scanners carry color Doppler, power Doppler and pulsed-wave Doppler. The atlas on this page includes a pulsed-wave trace with a resistive index of 0.78 on a facial vessel.
How much does an aesthetic ultrasound machine cost?
A Suresult aesthetic linear model costs $2,139 for the L14 and $4,185 for the L24Pro, software included. Clarius lists the L20 HD3 at $5,395 and Butterfly lists the iQ3 at $3,899.
What is the five-year cost against Clarius?
Clarius lists the L20 HD3 at $5,395 and its Essentials membership at $695 a year, which is $3,475 in membership by year five. Suresult scanners carry no subscription.
Can a Suresult scanner document before-and-after for patient records?
Every Suresult linear model saves cine loops of up to 1,000 frames and exports as DICOM, JPEG, PNG or MP4. Measurements are stored on the frame, so a follow-up scan can be compared.
Is a handheld enough for an aesthetic clinic, or is a cart system needed?
A handheld linear probe covers facial vessel mapping, filler-plane review and superficial soft-tissue measurement. A cart system remains the choice for whole-body imaging or for a dedicated ultrasound department.
Which model fits a clinic that also scans musculoskeletal cases?
The Suresult L20Pro at 16/20 MHz reaches 40 mm, which covers facial work plus tendons and small joints. The L14Pro reaches 80 mm when the same clinic scans deeper muscle.
Are Suresult scanners the same as an at-home ultrasound facial device?
Suresult scanners are diagnostic imaging probes for clinicians, not home beauty appliances. A home device applies energy to tissue, while a diagnostic probe produces an image a clinician reads.
Which platforms run the Suresult scanner software?
Suresult linear scanners run on iOS, Android and Windows over a built-in dual-band Wi-Fi link. The Suresult app is included with the scanner and carries no subscription.
Does a Suresult linear probe show a needle during a filler or hyaluronidase injection?
Suresult L24Pro, L20Pro and L14Pro scanners include in-plane and out-of-plane needle guides plus needle enhancement. The setting is selected in the Suresult app before the pass begins.

FAQ
Start with the L24 Series when shallow facial anatomy, vessel mapping, filler-plane review and follow-up documentation are the daily priorities. Choose L24 Standard for the lower entry price or L24Pro for the higher-spec Pro platform.
Higher-frequency linear imaging helps show superficial structures at shallow depth. L24 is built around 18/24 MHz imaging and 10-25 mm depth; L20 uses 16/20 MHz with 10-40 mm depth when a broader clinic workflow matters more than the most shallow facial detail.
Choose the series first: L24 for face-first superficial imaging, L20 for broader depth and mixed aesthetics or dermatology use, and L14 for deeper superficial or broader linear work. Then choose Standard for lower entry price or Pro for 256 elements, 64 channels, 4400 mAh battery and about 4 hours of scanning.
Color and power Doppler can help identify visible vascular structures and flow signal during planning or concern-driven follow-up. It supports clinical judgment, training and documentation; it is not a guarantee against complications.
Ultrasound can support review of filler location, surrounding soft tissue and follow-up comparison when image quality, filler behavior and operator training are appropriate. Suresult scanners can also capture still images and cine loops for consultation records where supported.
No required software subscription is positioned as a Suresult ownership advantage. Aesthetic clinics can use local records and export workflows where supported by the scanner and app, keeping software access more predictable after purchase.
