For OB/GYN and fertility work the D2LT carries a dedicated endocavity head — 6/8 MHz through the R13 face, the detail most handhelds can only approximate transabdominally. Transabdominal pelvic and growth scanning is a separate job, and it belongs on a convex probe.

The D2LT carries no convex or phased face — the linear head stops at 55 mm and the second head only works transvaginally, so deep abdominal and cardiac exams belong on the D3Pro instead. The linear head runs at 7.5/10 MHz on an L40 footprint with depth steps of 20, 30, 40 and 55 mm. The transvaginal head runs at 6/8 MHz on an R13 radius with a 90-degree field and depth steps of 30, 60, 90 and 120 mm. Those are the published steps for each face; the handle switches between them without changing instruments.
It carries no convex and no phased face, so structures that sit deeper than 55 mm from the skin are out of reach on the linear side — liver, kidney, aorta and late-pregnancy abdominal work included. The second head reaches 120 mm but only through transvaginal access, so it does not substitute for an abdominal probe. Four-chamber cardiac views need a phased array; buyers whose list starts with abdomen, lung or heart should look at the D3Pro or D2T instead.
The scanner ships in a lockable aluminum case. Imaging runs on the buyer's own screen — iOS iPad and iPhone, Android, or Windows — over 2.4G/5G WiFi or USB, so there is no separate console to buy.
