L10T questions, answered
How deep does the L10T scan, and at what frequency?
The published depth settings are 20, 40, 60 and 100 mm, and the probe runs at either 7.5 or 10 MHz. 10 MHz is the setting for superficial targets such as forearm veins and small parts; 7.5 MHz trades some resolution for reach on deeper basilic, femoral and MSK targets. 100 mm is the floor - nothing below that is in range on this probe.
What does bi-plane imaging actually change during a procedure?
The L10T carries 192 elements arranged as two perpendicular arrays on a 25 mm footprint, so it produces two live imaging planes rather than one. In practice that means the short-axis view can keep the vessel or nerve centred while the long-axis view follows the needle shaft and tip in the same moment, instead of rotating the probe mid-pass. On a single-plane linear probe the same procedure requires choosing one view or switching between them.
What is the L10T not suitable for?
It is a 7.5/10 MHz linear array with a 100 mm depth ceiling and a rectangular field, so cardiac, deep abdominal and obstetric exams are outside what it can image. Liver, kidney, gallbladder and later-trimester work need a convex or phased array with a fan-shaped field - in the SuresultMed range that is a convex probe such as the C5SH, a phased probe such as the PD1, or a multi-head unit such as the D3Pro. The L10T is built for the superficial and needle-guidance half of a caseload.
What comes in the box, and what does it run on?
The probe ships in a lockable aluminium case. It has no screen of its own and pairs wirelessly with an iOS, Android or Windows host over 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi, with USB also supported. Software controls cover gain, depth and image enhancement, and studies export as JPG, MP4 or DICOM for record-keeping.
Which imaging modes and measurements are available?
The published display modes are B, B/M, Color Doppler, Pulse Wave and Power Doppler. Color and Power Doppler are the ones that matter most before a stick, since they mark vessels along the planned needle path. Measurement tools cover length, area, circumference, heart rate and Doppler measurements, and the interface is available in multiple languages.
How is it powered, and how portable is it?
The published figure is 3 hours of continuous scanning per charge, and the probe recharges in about 2 hours over USB or on a wireless charging pad. Actual runtime depends on mode, Doppler use and screen brightness on the host device. The body measures 156 x 55 x 20 mm and weighs 200 g, so it travels in a coat pocket between rooms.
What warranty, documentation and delivery apply?
