2) The second case involved a patient with end-stage kidney disease who presented with acute dyspnea, orthopnea, and hypoxemia. Acute pulmonary edema was suspected clinically and subsequently confirmed by the presence of diffuse B-lines across all lung zones . Urgent hemodialysis relieved the symptoms
Patient with right sided flank pain and CVA tenderness with hx of kidney stones. U/S was used in right flank showing moderate hydronephrosis allowing prompt referral to urology for definitive management of suspected obstructive kidney stone which was later confirmed. Very helpful to have the portable ultrasound to diagnose cause of pain, recognize hydro, and allow for prompt appropriate referral.

It is a convex probe running at 3.2/5.0 MHz with an adjustable depth of 90 to 300 mm through a 60° field. That reach covers a slim abdomen at the shallow end and a deep right-upper-quadrant, a late-trimester uterus or a pleural effusion behind the diaphragm at the far end.
The array: 256 elements against 192, on the same 64 channels, the same 3.2/5.0 MHz band and the same 90–300 mm reach. The extra money buys line density in the image, not more depth or a different exam list. If your work is abdomen, pelvis and obstetrics every day, the denser array is what you will notice; if convex is an occasional need, the C5SH covers the same exams.
It has no linear or phased face, so superficial work — tendons, nerves, thyroid, vascular access — and a dedicated cardiac window are outside its brief; those need a linear array or a phased sector. Suresult's linear probes cover the first, and the D3 and D3Pro tri-heads add a phased face for the heart on one handle.
It broadcasts its own dual-band Wi-Fi and connects to the free Suresult app on iOS, Android and Windows — no clinic network and no subscription. Images and cines export as JPEG, PNG, MP4 and DICOM.
The 2200 mAh battery is rated for 1.5 hours of continuous scanning, recharged over USB or on the wireless pad; the probe weighs 150 g at 156 × 60 × 18 mm. For back-to-back clinic lists, charging between patients on the pad keeps it topped up.
