★★★★★Ultrasound for IV Placement
Verified ClinicianModel: L20Featured Review
While our nurses are fantastic at IV sticks, some patients have more difficult to find or stick veins. This ultrasound tool is one that we hope will promote more comfort, ease, and enjoyment for our IV therapy!
We strive to stand out from the rest, and this tool is another reason we do!
@suresultmed Thank you for selling a product like this to help with our customers’ experience!
I use these kinds of pictures and videos for education. This is an interscalene block, with a follow-up scan 15 minutes after puncture.

Before making my purchase, I asked the supplier about the EU MDR documentation and Declaration of Conformity, and they responded very quickly. Shipping was also fast: the device arrived at my clinic within five days, and I did not need to handle customs clearance or import duties myself.
For this price point, the image quality is acceptable. I have attached several photos and videos for reference.

1) The first video is from a dialysis patient that was incidentally found to have significant pericardial effusion
2) The second case involved a patient with end-stage kidney disease who presented with acute dyspnea, orthopnea, and hypoxemia. Acute pulmonary edema was suspected clinically and subsequently confirmed by the presence of diffuse B-lines across all lung zones . Urgent hemodialysis relieved the symptoms

Patient with right sided flank pain and CVA tenderness with hx of kidney stones. U/S was used in right flank showing moderate hydronephrosis allowing prompt referral to urology for definitive management of suspected obstructive kidney stone which was later confirmed. Very helpful to have the portable ultrasound to diagnose cause of pain, recognize hydro, and allow for prompt appropriate referral.

Dear Team,
We bought the Suresult D3 Ultra wireless ultrasound machine and another wireless ultrasound machine about 1 year ago. We have now had the opportunity to use them and both of them have been very good. I wanted to also say thank you for shipping the ultrasound machines quickly and safely to us in the UK. Our experience witb Amanfa and your team was also very good. If we need to order again, we will come back to you.
The L24Pro is easy to move between treatment rooms. The image appears quickly, and the metal case is useful because we carry it around the clinic during the day.

Every other way medicine looks inside the body needs a room — a tube, a gantry, a superconducting magnet. Ultrasound needs a probe and a screen. For twenty years, ultrasound has been how spaceflight looks inside the human body — and as humanity returns to the Moon, the instrument light enough to go is a handheld probe.
Suresult handheld probes have been selected by NASA and are undergoing testing in preparation for the Artemis lunar program. Documentation available for review on request.

The PD1 is the only probe in the Suresult line that is phased array and nothing else. These are the models a cardiac buyer usually weighs against it: the dual-head and three-format probes that carry a phased array alongside something else, and the convex probe people reach for when the real target turns out to be abdomen.

Where this probe is the wrong tool. The PD1 images no shallower than 90 mm and carries no linear array, so superficial work is outside what it can show — for vascular access, thyroid and soft tissue take the L10H (7.5/10 MHz, presets 20/40/60/100 mm), for tendon, nerve and small-parts detail the L20 (16/20 MHz, 10/20/30/40 mm) or L24 (18/24 MHz, 10/15/20/25 mm), and for abdomen past 190 mm the C5SH convex probe (90-300 mm).

Where the PD1 wins: On the axes a cardiac buyer can actually check: the PD1 is bought once at $2,139 and carries no subscription of any kind, against $299-$420 a year — or $1,500 once, scoped to five years — for Butterfly iQ3 software. Apps are free on iOS, Android and Windows, updates stay free for the life of the probe, and DICOM export writes to local storage rather than a paid cloud. The PD1 creates its own Wi-Fi network, so it is not tethered by cable to a phone the way the iQ3 is. It sits below both rivals on price, ships within 24 hours worldwide with customs and duties covered by Suresult, and can be sent back inside 30 days.
Where a rival wins: Both rivals publish more range than the PD1, and it is worth saying plainly. The Vscan Air SL puts a 3-12 MHz linear array in the same head as its sector array, so it publishes the superficial band the PD1 does not have at all, and its sector reaches 24 cm where the PD1 publishes 19 cm. The Butterfly iQ3 spans 1-12 MHz on one chip with presets from 4 to 30 cm, published both shallower and deeper than the PD1 from a single device. If you need one device for a genuinely mixed caseload, weigh those two seriously. If your scanning is cardiac-first, you are paying for range you will not use.
PD1 questions, answered
How deep does the PD1 scan — and how shallow?
Published scanning depth on the phased array is 90 to 190 mm, in an 80° sector. The 90 mm figure is the shallow end, not a starting point that can be dialled below: anything closer to the skin than 90 mm is outside what this probe is built to show.
What is the PD1 built to image?
Cardiac views and deep targets inside 190 mm. It runs at 2.5/2.8/3.6 MHz across 128 elements on 32 channels, in an 80° sector, and publishes B-Mode, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Power Doppler and Pulsed Wave Doppler — so grayscale, flow, motion and spectral tracing all come off the one probe.
What can the PD1 not do?
Superficial imaging. There is no linear array and no depth setting below 90 mm. For vascular access, thyroid and soft tissue the L10H covers 7.5/10 MHz at presets of 20, 40, 60 and 100 mm; for tendon, nerve and small-parts detail the L20 (16/20 MHz, 10/20/30/40 mm) and L24 (18/24 MHz, 10/15/20/25 mm) are the higher-frequency probes. The PD1 also stops at 190 mm; the C5SH convex probe reaches 300 mm if the target is deep abdomen.
Which imaging modes does the PD1 publish?
Five: B-Mode, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Power Doppler and Pulsed Wave Doppler. All of them are on this probe — there is no paid mode unlock and no tier to upgrade into.
Can I use the PD1 for needle guidance?
Not with a bracket. Suresult lists biopsy needle guides for linear, convex and endocavity probes; none is listed for a phased array, and the guides are listed by probe family rather than by model. The shallowest depth here is 90 mm as well, which is deeper than most guided punctures sit. For guided procedures, take a linear probe and confirm the linear guide fit with Suresult before ordering.
What do I need to run it?
Free apps for iOS, Android and Windows. The probe creates its own Wi-Fi network, so no router is needed on site and there is no cable running between the probe and the phone, tablet or laptop showing the image. At 140 g on its own network, that makes a resus bedside, a corridor or a clinic room with no Wi-Fi at all a place you can still scan.
Is there a subscription, and what does the software cost over time?
There is no subscription of any kind. The apps are free, software updates are free for the life of the probe, and DICOM export writes to local storage rather than to a paid cloud account.
How long does it scan on a charge, and how heavy is it?
The built-in lithium battery is 2200 mAh and gives 1.5 hours of continuous scanning. The probe weighs 140 g. For a full clinic list, plan on charging between sessions.
What happens after the order — shipping, trial and warranty?
Dispatch is within 24 hours, delivery is worldwide, and Suresult covers customs and duties. There are 30 days to try the probe and send it back if it does not suit the work. Warranty is two years as standard, extendable to three years for $195 or five years for $597. FDA, ISO, MDR/CE, TGA and ANVISA records are available for review.
